The medical field has been finding new ways to make full use of the iPhone on a number of occasions, including the latest advancement that turns the iPhone into a biosensor.
The researchers at the University of Illinois at Urbana who managed to scrap together parts for under $200 and build a spectrometer.
The team is currently seeking funding for additional features and services associated with using the iPhone as a biosensor, which could easily replace technology that actually costs tens of thousands of dollars. Check out the biosensor demonstration with the video below.
