Apple has been ranked as the world’s most valuable brand, with Google in second place, in the 2013 BrandZ list of top global brands.

The list is published by research agency Millward Brown Optimor, and puts Google’s brand value at $113.669 billion, which is way behind Apple’s $185.071 billion. Last year IBM was at number two, but is now in third place behind Google, with a brand value estimated at $112.536 billion. Meanwhile Microsoft is all the way back at number 7.

This puts Apple and Google above huge brands like McDonalds (4), Coca-Cola (5), and Visa (9) among others. Some manufacturers also made the list, like Samsung at number 30, and operator China Mobile which maintained its number 10 spot, with an estimated brand value of $55.368 billion. Indian carrier Airtel also made the list at number 89 with an estimated value of $10.054 billion.
