We’ve been hearing a lot about Samsung’s Galaxy Tab line and all signs are pointing to a June release for the whole Galaxy Tab 3 family. The Galaxy Note 8.0 has already been released and the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 has been announced as well. Pricing for the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 has leaked out a couple of times at $199 and now it looks like SamMobile have found pricing for the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1. Technology site Adorama have the devices listed as “New Releases” with their associated price tags.
As well as pricing for the next Galaxy Tab 10.1, the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 has reared its head in this fresh leak as well. The tablet is apparently going to run for $329.99 for 16GB of memory, in this new “Gold-Brown” color that Samsung seem ready to unleash onto the world. This 8-inch tablet from Samsung looks a very strange device to me, after all why not leave the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 and the Galaxy Note 8.0 to do their work – is there really a need for a 7-inch and a 8-inch tablet in the same line-up?
Pricing could well be a make or break factor for this year’s crop of Android tablets from Samsung, the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 from Samsung is launching with specs that last year’s Nexus 7 is still laughing at and the Tab 3 10.1 looks set to be the same. With Google pricing tablets so competitively, as well as Amazon, can Samsung hope to hit the premium price points with these new tablets?
If anything, it looks like the Korean giant is trying to ride the wave of their branding here, and charge more for a device but, until full specs of the Tab 3 8.0 and the Tab 3 10.1 are finalized, we can’t say for sure.
