Apple has added five new patents to its claims, targeting both Samsung and Google in relation to their own Siri program. Two of Apple’s patents specifically relate to Siri, notes Florian Mueller of FOSS Patents. U.S. Patent No. 8,086,604 and U.S. Patent No. 6,846959, both entitled “Universal interface for retrieval of information in a computer system.”
 The other three patents are:
U.S. Patent No. 5,666,502: “Graphical user interface using historical lists with field classes”
U.S. Patent No. 5,946,647: “System and method for performing an action on a structure in computer-generated dat”a
U.S. Patent No. 7,761,414: “Asynchronous data synchronization amongst devices”
Apple filed a motion to amend its infringement complaint in California on Tueday. It seeks to add Samsung’s recently released Galaxy S4 to the complain which also targets a number of other Samsung products. Google Now is included for its similarity to Siri, but mainly because Google Now has replaced the Android Quick Seearch Box in some instances and that search box was preciously targeted in the complaint.
Judge Paul S. Grewal will hold a hearing to discuss Apple’s motion has been scheduled for June 25th in a San Jose.
