As per a set of images taken from what seems to be a promo video, LG’s next flagship will be known as LG G2, ditching the Optimus branding. This comes just days after we heard that LG was planning to do away with Optimus moniker for high-end phones, which we all know hasn’t been really performing well.
These images also give us the first look at the back-side volume rocker, which was reported in the past by the South Korean media.
In first glance, these volume buttons might look a little odd but I don’t see why they would functionally create any problems for LG G2 users.
There is obviously no way to authenticate these images. Also, despite coming from evleaks, these aren’t as credible as other leaks would normally be because these images have come to this anonymous leaker via a tip. So, take these with a pinch of salt.
Anyways, LG is holding a press event on August 7 and chances are we will see LG G2 on the day. More images below.
